Botswana University Of Agriculture and Natural Resources

Botswana College of Agriculture (BCA) is an agricultural college located in Gaborone, Botswana. It was established by an act of the Parliament of Botswana, Act no. 9, on 31 May 1991. The Act abolished the then Botswana Agricultural College (BAC) which had existed since 1967.

The College is a parastatal under the Ministry of Agriculture and an associate Institution of the University of Botswana.

Under  the AMESD Project (which ended in June 2013), the BCA was the Agriculture Service capacity building partner and also a beneficiary of the AMESD Receiving Station. The BCA  also developed the Agriculture Service Standalone Training Package which was later used in the AMESD SADC Distance Course. Students from the BCA use data received from the AMESD Station for their research projects.

Under MESA, the BCA is a co-beneficiary of the MESA SADC grant contract, and will continue to function as the Agriculture Service capacity building partner.
